The Mountains Tomato Festival Beer Chug
Well, better late than never!
The Tomato Festival Beer Chug happened on July 11th, 2009. I think the video speaks for itself.
Poon was a no show for the 4th installment of the Chug. So Bub joined Paul and Doug for the race. Bub was a wildcard, we had no idea what he could do. We know Bub can put away beer, but how fast was the question.
We soon found out.
Not very fast at all.
Doug blew away the competition for the 4th straight year, although Paul got a little closer this year, but that doesn't win you chugs.

Fatal 4-Way Wii Bowling Death Match
Well ok, not a death match, but it was 4 contenders for 1 belt in 1 game of Wii Bowling.
We had a warm up game to get use to the big screen and let the non-Wii having contestant play a game. But that game didn't count.
The contestants:
The Champion - Doug - Joker Mii
Contender #1 - Paul - Beanie hat Mii
Contender #2 - Poon - Darth Vader Mii
Contender #3 - Bub - Girl (or as Bub said, that Bitch) Mii
I won't bore you with details (actually I just don't want to get into them), you can see for yourself what went down. I left pins on standing up, Paul did not. Paul won the title, Bub had a great game, while Poon just stunk up the game. Bub doesn't have a Wii, Poon does.

Epic Championship Match
Last night #1 contender Paul took on Mountains Champion Doug in Madden Football.
During this match it seemed Doug had nothing and Paul had the answer. Paul took a commanding 10-0 lead into the 4th while Doug struggled to move the ball. 2 Missed FGs by Paul would come back to haunt as Doug struck TD gold twice in the 4th quarter. Two goal line runs by Willie Parker, who says he isn't a goal line back?? The second score for Doug left 1:12 on the clock, too much time for the Elisha led Giants. But Paul cracked under the Championship pressure again and failed to reach the endzone. Doug retained his title yet again, proving to be the very best Mountains Champion.
Next championship match: when Pauls basement is finished. Wii Bowling death match, 3 will enter only 1 will leave as Mountains Champion.

Mr. Baghead
Bub revises his role as Mr. Baghead in the Mountains. I had the honor of seeing this years ago, can't remember the exact year, but his baghead was way more elaborate seeing as he was not totally wasted. And didn't have a blow-torch.

2009 Spring Mountains Tournament Results

Horseshoes
Poon and Mike were the first eliminated, giving Mike last place since Poon defeated Mike in the first round. Unkie dropped to the losers brackets after an early win. Paul and Doug showed why they were the #1 and #2 seeds and dominated the Winners bracket with Doug making it to the finals. Bub did not need any breaks this time a round, no early exit, but he lost to a surging Unkie. Unkie never at the mountains early enough to be a part of Horseshoes, showed us why he's not allowed to come up for the event anymore. Unkie came back from the dead and beat Doug twice to take the tournament.
Wii Bowling
Bub show his lack of Wii bowling skills and made an early exit, Unkie also dissapointed fans with a 5th place finish which would come back to haunt him later in the tournament. Mike, the #2 seed, dropped the losers bracket. Mike would angry bowl his way to a 3rd place finish after getting his ass handed to him by Paul twice in the tournament. Doug, the #1 seed, dominated the winners bracket one again making it to the finals and sending Paul to the losers bracket. Paul would not be denied his shot, finished off Mike and came back and beat Doug to force another match. Unfortuantely for Paul, he had to face a true champion. Doug whooped up on Paul to take the Wii Bowling Title.
Home Run Derby
Once again Poon dominates the HR Derby, 7 in the first round, only 3 in the second but 10 was enough to win, the numbers may be low but no one could match the Mighty Poon. Paul came in second with 9, Bub had a monster second round with 6 to bring his total to 7. Doug had a pathetic second round with only 1 HR, bringing his total to 5. Mike and Unkie had a low of 4 each to tie for 5th place.
Only 5 outs had Poon confused, even though that's how we did it in the Fall. This shortening of the HR Derby will open up the door for Target shooting next Fall. There was plenty of time on the clock for this event, but the commissioner is a lazy bitch sometimes.
Final Results
The original three have dominated back to back Tournaments with Unkie knocking on the door. Doug took 1st place (again), Paul came in 2nd, and Poon 3rd. Although Doug and Paul tied in total points, Doug had the advantage since he won Wii Bowling and all Paul had were 2nd place finishes. But this also put in plans to have an actual tie-breaker for any future ties.
A great couple of days and a great tournament once again. The competition levels are getting higher and higher, everyone wants that gold, but only one can have it.
