Tomato Festival Beer Chug

What is it? A beer chugging contest! That's what! 6 pony bottles of Miller Lite to the competitors, Poon, Paul, and Doug. Whoever drinks them the fastest wins, what do they win? A title shot for the Mountains Championship.


When: Saturday, July 14, 2007 at the Vogel's on Tomato Festival Night!

Horseshoes
Poon took the early lead, defeating both Paul and Doug. Then Doug finished Paul, but had to beat Poon twice in order to win the Horseshoes. Poon had never been defeated Tournament play, but alas he was, defeated twice by Doug.

Homerun Derby
The ground was a little soggy, the wind was blowing a tad, and the sun was burning Poon's skull. Doug took the lead and never looked back in round 1, Poon went down fast in Round 1, seems like his Ramen Noodles weren't working at all. Paul was mediorce like the NY Giants. Round 2 was a different story, Poon found his groove and was rocking the ball over the house, but his total was too low. Paul and Doug tied for 2nd, but in the tiebreaker round, Doug had nothing on Paul. But overall Doug had the highest total.

Madden Challenge
Enter Larry and Guido, the only event they could really participate in. Guido had 2 losses to Larry and Poon, so he was gone. But Poon lost to Larry, twice! This was the end of Poon's horrible reign of Mountains Tournament Champion, his pathetic play against Larry was unspeakable! Paul needed overtime just to beat Larry, knocking Larry out of the Madden Challenge. The stage was set for a showdown, Paul vs. Doug. 1 match was played, well because playing 3 would have taken too long and it was figured out that Doug was the Tournament Champion no matter who won the Madden Challenge between Doug and Paul. So Paul won. yippee.

Mountains Update

Alright, if you don't know already the official Springtime Mountains trip is set for April 19th - 22nd.

I am told there is a new furnace, and possibly new plumbing, sweet.

Also there is a change in Belts for the person/gnome who walks out of the mountains weekend the champion. The Mountains Championship Committee has decided to go with the new spinner belt as the official belt.



The Mountains Tournament Champion will be awarded the old belt and must bring that belt to be passed to any future tournament winners.

Also, Championship matches have officially been put on hold, no title matches until a Mountains Tournament Champion has been declared.

That guy named Grant

This guy named Grant use to be a Mountains regular, now he would rather sit at home by himself and watch the Flyers on TV. He can't miss work, because missing work would be bad and everyone would look down upon him, plus his truck needs to go into the shop, and he's going fishing that weekend, and his tires are bad on this truck too. Stuff man. STUFF!!!
